warning: super long post... :X
24th dec was my last day at work.. but my colleagues actually gave me a mini farewell thingy on 23rd becos wanting and jiasui will not be there on 24th.. I had my presentation on 23rd.. i could have finished presenting within one hour.. but my boss tends to sidetrack very easily so it dragged till 2 hours.. luckily, the presentation was before lunch time! actually, i didnt really finish my presentation but it's okie.. hahaha.. cos he said tt he was hungry so that's why we can end at 1pm (our lunch time is 12 to 1pm).. so when i came out, all of them were actually waiting for me.. haha..
they gave me these as farewell gifts..
witch handmade by fangfang.. she gave me this cos i act as witch during halloween.. haha.
xiumin made me the handphone accessory.. and they gave me the brown bag too..
that time they keep asking me what do i want, and i anyhow say i want handmade stuff and they really give me hand made stuff... actually, they wanted to see me cry that day cos like too touched la. but i didnt, then they were like.. mei mei, why u never cry de.. haha.. faint..
i would like to take this opportunity to thank them for making my 6 months in the company enjoyable!!
looking back, actually i did learn some stuffs during the internship. but it's not so much abt the skills and stuff.. haha.. cos the place is not that advance, the instruments and stuff are not very updated i think.. to be frank, up till now i'm still a lil clueless about my own project.. i just know that i'm synthesising beads.. that's all.. but oh well.. haha..
for the first few weeks of work, i really dread going for work early in the morning! it's even worse than going for 8am lectures everyday! at least i will see my friends in sch! but at work, i'm the only intern and i know no one! :S i had to sit in the lab reading journals and articles which were very very foreign as the knowledge i have abt polymers is very little.. so the first 2 weeks was really very boring.. it doesnt help when i'm sitting beside alan.. it's like i cant really talk to him.. it's not tt he's quite, he is quite chatty, but i dun seem to be able to talk to him.. so yeah.. haha.. i didnt have much opportunity to talk to jia sui and fangfang cos i wasnt sitting with them! :S i was abit quiet during lunch time for the first few weeks even though i was sitting with the 7 of them.. ahah.. :S
after that, my supervisior asked me to observe how she set up the apparutus for a synthesis.. then she asked me to carry out a synthesis on my own.. haha. i took like damn long to set up the thingy, it's like the glasswares are really heavy and yeah. juz not used to setting up the things.
without them this 6 months will be rather boring.. they had made my 6 months of attachment there enjoyable, crazy and fun! haha.. some of u would have known about the crazy and embarrassing things which we or i had done.. and i've certainly increased the number of accents over there.. haha :X and i think i've lost the accents already. haha.
siew mien: thanks for taking care of me, giving me lotsa advices and training me how to zhua ren de hua.. hehe :P i will miss the times where we sit beside each other during lunch and when we are abt to knock off, and also u will ask us abt the personality tests thingy! hehehe :) one thing is, never dare her! haha.. cos she will really do the dare! hahah :X
Huizhen: thanks for ur help, advices and pei he-ing me in most of the things.. she's really very nice.. she went to the extent of helping me to get the previous IA student's report for me! Also, she's my second angel for the angel and mortal thingy.. cos all of them knows that my angel wont write to me.. so she had no choice but to write to me.. ahah.. i miss the times where i will go and scare her when she's at her fumehood.. haha.. and we'll like act some scenes at her lab and also going to her lab to listen to 215 de yue ding, becos our lab dun have radio.. really did lotsa crazy things with her! haha. :)
yuxian: she's my buy lunch partner! :) hehe.. most of the time we will be short of money when we try to balance our 'accounts'.. but in the end, we will get it right la.. haha.. just that we will spend a lil more time on tt.. she likes to hit my head.. i duno why.. hehee.. :P think i will bump into her in sch cos she's studying for her masters in nus!
jiasui: she became my buy-lunch partner after one of the colleagues left.. she's my neighbour in lab, cos i'm helping her out with her project... hehe.. thank you for ur help and advices on alot of things! haha.. i think i'm like a problem kid over there. hehehe.. she can be an aircon also.. cos she will also say those leng xiao hua.. hehe.. ooh.. and she 'sleeps' with me every morning.. cos i sit beside her in the transport every morning. haha.
fangfang: she's my lion's savior i tell u! she saved my lion even though it tried to 'runaway'.. they were claiming that lion rather commit suicide than stay with me... so bad! hahha.. she's an aries too!! heheh.. she's the most partial de.. cos she will tell me like whether siewmien and huizhen are making fun of me and stuff la.. she's also one of those who will listen to me rant and everything.. and she will give me advices and everything :) hahha.. she's our street director cos her sense of direction is very good! heheh. she was the one included me to go for the flower exhibition and also the SMRT challenge! :) hehe.. and we will roam ard to different labs at times.. cos her reaction's holding time is very long.. ahah.. she's the only one whom i didnt manage to scare.. ahha :X
zhenyi: she's one of the ppl whom i talked a little more during the first day.. haha.. cos i went to buy lunch with her and fangfang.. hehe :) she's very li hai, cos she's also studying part time and she also sells accessories! she's the one who source for all the materials for making my witch hat.. haha.. i think i didnt manage to scare her also.. hahah.. :X cos she will definitely know who goes into her lab de.. haha.. her combo pokes really very lihai and stunning.. cos she will just poke me when i least expect it.. ahhaa..
wanting: haha.. we are doing the ally sign.. haha..but she's always caught in between me and huizhen cos they are friends for 5 yrs.. hahah.. but having her as an ally is of no use at times cos she will gang up with the others to shoot me.. i'm able to clique with her quite well.. haha.. then the others will always make fun of us becos our age difference is the smallest.. i duno why but when we are in a grp, we will always bicker.. hahah.. when the others are not ard, we are usually very peaceful de.. and she will never get to slp if i take her transport after work.. ahha :X cos we will juz keep on talking.. ahaha..
